Drain could be due to it being used as a top-up battery for the main battery, which isn't the best option in terms of engineering as you lose 10-30% of energy just like an external powerpack would.

I haven't seen the sheet battery in person, but others I've spoken to told me that it doubled the thickness of their VAIO and added considerable enough weight to hurt it's usefulness as a tablet.  Hearing that it discharges before the internal battery does, and that it has a moderate discharge rate even when not in use, I wondered how useful the battery would be for me.

With the 1.8/3.0Ghz i7 VAIO, I tend to get 3-4 hours on a charge with standard use.  I'd like to be able to do better than that, but I have two power adapters (one for home, one for travel) at the moment.  If I flew more often, the sheet battery might make sense.

Do you have the sheet battery with yours?  What was your hands-on experience like?  Would you recommend to others?
