Getting Back on the Fitness Wagon

06 Feb

As +nick kaiho reminded me this morning, I need to get back to our 2012 Fitness Challenge. While I easily gamed for over 15 hours last week, I can't say I worked out for an equal amount of time. I haven't lost any more weight since New Year's… if anything, I suspect I gained a pound or two. (I've been afraid to weight myself for the last 2 weeks).

I need to step it up. For any gaming session, I need to make a pact that I'll exercise for 45 minutes prior. If want to play on the PS3, I'd better be on the treadmill or Wii Fitness for the 45 minutes before.

Dog's Eye View (Video) of the Dog Park

03 Feb

It looks like he must have used a Drift HD170 (or similar HD action camera) attached to his dog's collar. It's a great wide-angle video of life from his great dane puppy's point-of-view!

Fun with Virtualization

03 Feb

Preparing VMs on my MacBook Pro and cloning them for use in training next week…

I suspect we'll probably need two RHEL 5.4 VMs for the class, but I also wanted to have Fedora 15, CentOS 6, and Windows 7 Pro built and prepped.
