As someone born in '72 and grew up in the 70's & 80's, these are all characters I've come to know and love!

They just don't make cartoons like that anymore.

I rooted for Venger on the D&D cartoon, and I thought Evil-Lynn was far hotter and more intelligent than anyone else on He-Man.

And I was hoping I could grow up to marry Princess Ariel. (Thanks, +Victoria Foreman for saying "Yes")

And see, I used to see those on TV and think, man they don't make good cartoons anymore. 'Cause Top Cat, he could swindle any-Ra out of anything. He was a cool cat.  :)

Top Cat seemed a little too full-of-himself for my taste.  I always felt bad for Tom being abused by Jerry and misunderstood by his unseen, leggy people.

Mighty Mouse seemed to terrorize all of the canine and feline world.  Woody Woodpecker, Yogi Bear, and Mickey Mouse were all cartoons I could get behind.
