So I ordered a Sony VAIO Duo 11 with a 2-year Extended Warranty (Express Ship Service) on November 11th. I was told it was supposed to have shipped yesterday (November 27th, 2012). When I called them yesterday, they said it would be shipping yesterday and I should receive it today.
Checking the order status this morning, I still see "Ready for Shipment". I suspect it's still sitting in the warehouse while someone tries to figure out that the "2-year Express Ship Service for Laptops" is associated with the VAIO, and they could have shipped the VAIO. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I think if I call them today, ask about its status, when it's shipping, and why does the service contract still show as "Processing", I'll get a dumbfounded answer.
Sony's customer service and shipping still needs work…
