Sadly, it's not the same place we started at 3 years ago. Everyone we've known over the past 3 years has come and gone. The CEO of Dogtopia seems more intent on franchising than quality-of-care and compassion towards her customers. I wish her the best of luck, but we'd rather go somewhere we have faith that our family member is cared for, not a paycheck sitting in a crate.

With the exception of Amy and Mo, +Victoria Foreman and I have been taking +Kiyomi Foreman to Dogtopia for longer than any one employee has worked there.
Over the years, we've watched room attendants and store managers come and go. We developed a strong attachment to a few, but realized that Dogtopia is more a franchise than a loving daycare, more a business than a beloved friend.
When given the choice between a McDonald's and a Mom's, we'd rather take our family member to a local business that shows more concern for their customers than the money they carry.

Oh what a shame, it seems that is the way of the world nowadays… like you I would go elsewhere too. They are our family members and we want them treated as such, yes they make money from it but that shouldnt be what it is about. So many professions are money orientated.. our local vet seems to forget they treat animals and are more interested in hiking up prices for standard flea care and other products so that many poorer families cant afford it.. so much for animal interests at heart.

Hi Ken, Vicki and barks to Kiyomi. What a bummer. We know Kiyomi enjoyed her visits there and that you and Vicki trusted the care and attention Dogtopia gave Kiyomi and her friends. When money becomes more important than the animals an organization is responsible for it time to find a new business and customers to find a new business that puts the customer/pet first. You are doing the right thing. Hopefully you can find a “company” that meets Kiyomi’s needs as well as yours. good news soon. Sni

Hi, James! Hi, Suzy! =) Sniffs and licks from Kiyomi, too…
It’s been a busy month for our little family. Kiyomi’s going to Olde Towne Pet Resort:

in Dulles, VA. She was a little awkward about swimming in the lap pool, but she enjoys playing in the wading pools daily. She gets to play there with others while Vicky & I are at work.
Kiyomi had alot of fun at her family reunion last Saturday:

She’s also been going to Agility II each Sunday. She’s doing really well:

Hope you and Suzy are doing well! Any plans for the holidays soon?
