Did something happen? Care for the little furry one's is very important, we switched and then cancelled the plans we had at a boarding place just because we couldn't really trust them with Sweetie and Gage. Instead we had a good friend look after them in our home, and that worked so much better, and we know they're safe and being taken care of.

We like the people there, but Dogtopia as a business is changing, focusing on growth and franchising while perhaps losing its heart as a dog daycare.
Dogtopia doesn't watch over dogs overnight when boarding. They kennel the dogs from 9pm to 6am when the staff goes home and the dogs are left alone, unsupervised overnight. Combined with having 4 staffers (one room attendant per room, one floater, one front desk) for having 40-60 dogs, they've been overwhelmed and making mistakes (nearly sending home the wrong dog with the wrong owner on 3 occasions).
We love the staff, but we wonder about the business and where their heart is. We started investigating other dog daycares, appreciate how Olde Towne Pet Resort keeps a 1:10 ratio of people to dogs and has people staying with the dogs overnight when boarding.
They do a better job screening new dogs and boarders for illness, immediately seek medical attention when dogs show signs of illness, groom dogs every 3 days when boarding or daycare, and seem to show more heart and attention to caring for the dogs.

Sounds like you have very valid reasons, keep your loved ones safe above all else.
