Joel was fairly fit to begin with, and looks great now. While I'm about 30lbs heavier than he was, what he writes is true. Adherence to diet and regular exercise is what it takes to lose weight. I need to get off my butt, and cut out sugars altogether.

Paleo Diet's okay, but you have to man up and really do it Paleo style. Fast for a week (hey you didn't kill anything), other days have a handful of nuts or grain (uncooked), and some days have a bit of fish and a few bugs. Then, every 2 or 3 months, gorge on meat for a week. You know, like they REALLY lived back then. They didn't head to Safeway to restock the eggs. Otherwise, you'll lose body fat but gain ateriosclerosis.
I myself am reading "Thrive" by Brendan Brazier. I think I'm going to do a six week challenge on that.
