I realize that Dean Koontz is writing about Trixie Koontz with this quote, and I whole-heartedly agree: "Once your life has been touched by a wonderful dog, life without one, is a life diminished."

This brought a tear to my eye; it is so true and it is the reason I got Ellie. After Mandy died there was a huge hole in my heart that I knew could only be filled by another dog!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about Mandy, but I love seeing your pictures of Ellie. Vicky and I feel the same way about +Kiyomi Foreman, she's definitely a "heart dog" for us as well.
For more about Kiyomi and her pictures, we keep them online at:

awww so true, i broke both of my legs in a construction accident in the waiting of a law suit i ended up homeless could have stayed in shelter but would have had to give up my dog. I chose to be as loyal to him as he was to me. He will always be my best friend.

I love Dean Koontz and how he works his dog into his stories. I look forward to it in every book I read of his.

Since the absence of a dog from my life life is not as rich nor do I feel so loved unconditionally. I miss my boy.
