Fun! We will have a storm here next November or December. It's depressing.

In Arlington, too, according to my cousin

457,000 customers in northern Virginia now without power according to Dominion. This is the worst outage I've seen in years. With high temperatures tomorrow, I'm hoping they get it restored overnight.

Randi: trade? I used to enjoy the storms, but they get Kiyomi so worked up that I don't enjoy them any more.

Tempted to grab my laptop and head over to Equinix. Bet they still have power (unlike, say, Amazon)

3:37 AM, still without power. With Saturday around 100'F, I may have to take Vicky & Kiyomi somewhere else to keep cool. Starting to wonder how how long it's going to take Dominion to restore power to this many customers.

I hope power comes on for you soon.  It's supposed to be extremely hot the next few days.  We were listening to the news with a hand-crank radio last night (we were worried there might be a tornado watch when the storm first started) and they said that it could be days before some people get power back.  I hope that doesn't prove true.
